Wannabe Detectives is the second section to episode 22 of Osomatsu-san, season 3.
Osomatsu and Jyushimatsu play the roles of detectives that don't take their job seriously.

Plot[]
At the station, Jyushita enters, looking tired, and goes to make himself some coffee. He sits down at the table behind Osoyama, who asks Jyushi if he's taking his job seriously when he arrived in late, as a response, Jyushita glides his chair over to Osoyama and says he's supposed to be late as the star of the show, Osoyama simply replies "good grief".
Jyushita counters asking if Oso is even awake, considering the paper he's reading is upside-down. Osoyama rolls his chair over to Jyushita and states that even if it wasn't upside-down, he can't read it anyway. Jyushita also responds to that with "good grief".
Osoyama and Jyushita continue doing ridiculous things, and gliding on their chairs, exclaiming that what they're doing "doesn't matter", which only annoys Totoko and Todomatsu, who are watching them.
Soon, Choromatsu gets a call, and gathers the others around for a case. Osoyama and Jyushita overhear, with Osoyama saying "good grief" and that they're "up again" for a case, however when they go over to the table to hear about the case, they're ignored by the others, who then leave without them. After their shock of being left behind, they just say "good grief".
Next, Jyushita is driving a car, and radios over to Osoyama. Osoyama says he has "hot news", which is simply just the fact that he doesn't know what's going on since they weren't let in on the case. It is revealed that they're in the same car, and Jyushita agrees he also wasn't let in on the case, shocking Osoyama. They then curse out the perp, saying that "no one has gotten away from them before".
Over the radio, they hear the perp is located at a warehouse on Akatsuka Wharf, and that the others are requesting back-up. Choromatsu then yells at them over the radio to not go to the scene, calling them worthless. In an attempt to suddenly U-turn the car, the car rolls over and crashes.
Eventually, despite what Choromatsu requested, they arrive at the warehouse, hiding behind the opening, with guns drawn, to find the perp.
Meanwhile, behind them, the perp has already been captured by Todomatsu and the others.
Osoyama and Jyushita nod at each other, randomly running into the warehouse they start shooting, rolling and hiding about places, whilst outside, Todomatsu watches them, speechless.
They then run up and down stairs, below, Totoko watches them with annoyance.
Next, they jump over a fence, shooting randomly at nothing on their way over, which Karamatsu is also watching with annoyance.
They continue running around cargo containers, only to end up pointing their guns at each other when they reach the other side. Ichimatsu watches on, then folds out a fan reading "Dumbasses!".
As they continue running and jumping about, doing random things in an attempt to look cool, Osoyama accidentally backs up into a fork lift, hitting the back of his head.
In pain, he rolls about, and Jyushita calls out in worry. Jyushita starts tearing up and Osoyama dramatically tells him he's not going to make it. Encouraging Jyushi to catch the perp, Jyushita takes Osoyama's gun, and as Osoyama "passes out" Jyushita shouts his name to the sky.
After putting Osoyama down to rest, Jyushita runs off to catch the perp, only to twist his ankle on the way.
Jyushita then also starts rolling in pain, as Osoyama calls out for him in worry. Osoyama starts crying as Jyushita "passes out". He then yells Jyushita's name to the sky.
Osoyama runs off to catch the perp, only to accidentally "get shot" and he falls down again, with Jyushita yelling after him. In turn, Jyushita runs off yet again, only to trip.
Finally Osoyama runs off shooting the gun randomly again, and is joined by Jyushita doing the same.
Todomatsu yells at them, asking how long they're going to keep going, with Choromatsu threatening to fire them.
Osoyama and Jyushita turn to them, only to exclaim, "It doesn't matter!".
